The
three items that I would take with me would be a photo album, my bible my iPod.
I would take my photo album because my family takes so many picture of every
moment we share together, from dinners to weddings to baby showers. Pictures
tell so many stories and savor so many memories. I would take my bible because
all of my strength has stemmed from this book. My faith my courage and my life
depends on his word and I take it wherever I go. Lastly music is my escape.
Everyone has a way to relax and music is my favorite. Music can put me in any
mood that I desire. If I could keep just one of the items, it would be my
bible. I feel as if this was a great exercise because it has caused me to
examine the most important things in my life that have had a great impact on my
life.

ReplyDeleteI mentioned in my post also that I would bring my Bible. But I never thought about bringing my Ipod because it wouldn't be a clear representation of my culture (which is African-American). I feel much the same as you in that music is my sanity, but I do have a variety of genres on my Ipod, so it's not a clear cut cultural representation.
